For low-income working families. Gift shop is for pregnant women, including single moms. Kids need to be younger than 12 yrs. or newborn, and they can get toys as well as free Christmas gifts.

King County Toys for Tots

Toys for Tots collects and gives out toys, books and stocking stuffers to children in need in King County. This year, toys will be distributed only to non-profit organizations and individuals will need to reach out to approved organizations to request a toy. The approved organizations can be found by clicking on the link above.

This program offers King County residents emergency assistance and move in cost assistance.

Call First and Third Thursdays of each month from 2 – 3 p.m. (Must have child under 18 residing in household, if you do not funding will not be provided) – once per year rental assistance

DESC can assist with people facing eviction with rent/legal fees.

JFS provides services to people of all backgrounds as well as Jewish individuals and families.

LifeWire helps victims of Domestic Violence situations to assist with their rent. They’ll also help them with finding new housing and really work hard to prevent homelessness among DV victims and their children.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul parish is a non-profit that offers people of all backgrounds and religions a unique style of personal assistance with food, clothing, gasoline, medicine, rent, utilities, and transportation to people facing economic or emotional crises.
Families can call the helpline center or complete a request form. The request form includes rental and utility assistance questions.

Resources can help with housing needs, with a focus on preventing homelessness in the King County area. Some of the services can include eviction prevention, move-in and security deposit assistance, limited rent help, and utility bill assistance. Counseling services are provided at the same time. Any type of assistance paid out is by appointment only and may require an interview process.

Some limited one-time rental assistance is offered. Families can leave a voicemail at 206-934-6160 and an advocate will respond back to assess eligibility.

University Churches Emergency Fund 206-524-7885, 4515 16th Ave NE, Seattle
Families can call this number, leave a voicemail and a representative will call back to do a short interview to get emergency financial assistance. Up to $250 of rental or move-in costs assistance for people living in zip codes of 98103, 98105, 98115 and 98125. Income limitations are in place. 
Limited hours: Tuesday, Thursdays and Fridays 10:30-12:15 p.m.Can offer emergency assistance up to once per year.  

West Seattle Helpline 206-932-4357
Provides limited emergency rent assistance to prevent eviction from homes and apartments. Rental/utility assistance for residents in the following zip codes: 98106, 98116, 98126, 98136, 98146.
Families can call and leave a voicemail. A volunteer will follow up within 72 hours.

Provides assistance for refugees and immigrants new to the USA. Leave a voicemail to schedule an appointment. World relief checks messages on daily basis and will call back for initial enrollment.

YWCA Project Self-Sufficiency  206-209-5677
Call this number for rental/utility assistance. This service is for families or individuals who are on the edge of homelessness and need help maintaining their current rental or find alternative home.
Many non-profit and charities work closely with or are part of the YWCA. The agency provides several services to women, their children, and families.
